Interim Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner

About the role

A leading manufacturer in Leeds requires an experienced Management Accountant on an interim basis to cover a period of sickness, with the potential to extend into a longer‑term position. The role supports the Head of Finance and acts as a business partner to operational and sales teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow, with variance analysis and commentary.
• Produce and distribute weekly sales and margin reports and monthly sales commission reports.
• Develop monthly cost‑centre P&L reporting with performance commentary.
• Maintain and improve the standard costing model and support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasts.
• Assist with cash‑flow forecasting, short‑ and medium‑term projections, and reconcile physical stock counts to the inventory ledger.
• Maintain the fixed‑asset register, manage capital additions, disposals and depreciation, and flag risks to the Finance Director.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or qualified by experience with strong management accounting background).
• Advanced Excel proficiency and ability to communicate financial insight effectively.
• Team‑player attitude and eligibility to work in the UK without restriction.
