Interim Principal Social Worker – Adult Social Care

About the role
The City of London Corporation is seeking an interim Principal Social Worker to support its Adult Social Care service. This short‑term assignment (3‑6 months) focuses on quality assurance, practice development and preparation for CQC inspections.
Key responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance activities across the adult social care service.
- Develop and embed best practice approaches for frontline teams.
- Support CQC preparation and readiness, ensuring compliance with the inspection framework.
- Maintain and apply the adult social care competency framework.
Required profile
- Qualified Social Worker, fully registered with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in a Principal Social Worker (PSW) role.
- Excellent knowledge of the CQC inspection framework and adult social care competency framework.
- Strong background in quality assurance within social care.
