Interim Procurement Lead – Marketing Spend (£6‑700/day)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join a leading financial services organisation on an initial six‑month contract. The role focuses on marketing spend, allowing you to lead strategic sourcing, optimise supplier performance and deliver commercial value in a high‑profile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver category strategies for marketing spend.
• Lead strategic sourcing activities and negotiate with suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction and total‑cost‑of‑ownership optimisation.
• Build and manage key supplier relationships and governance frameworks.
• Provide expert procurement advice to senior stakeholders and ensure robust contract management, including risk mitigation.
• Identify continuous‑improvement opportunities and maintain compliance with procurement policies and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Strong procurement experience within marketing, media or advertising categories.
• Proven track record in marketing category management and strategic sourcing.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Experience managing complex supplier ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of contracts, commercial risk and governance.
