Interim Sales Ledger Clerk – 3‑Month Contract

About the role

Our client, a leading retail business in London, is seeking an interim Sales Ledger Clerk for a three‑month assignment. You will be responsible for managing the end‑to‑end accounts‑receivable function for a portfolio of around 300 customer accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and process customer invoices, including complex multi‑site and multi‑currency (Euro) invoices.
• Perform daily reconciliations of customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Allocate bank receipts and match them against outstanding invoices promptly.
• Maintain an accurate sales ledger, ensuring all accounts are up‑to‑date and fully reconciled.
• Monitor aged debt, chase overdue payments via professional email communication, and support cash‑flow health.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve invoice queries and minimise payment delays.
• Support month‑end reporting by ensuring all receivable transactions are correctly recorded.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years experience in accounts receivable or sales ledger administration.
• Immediate availability or notice period of one week.
