IT Business Analyst – Change Management in Legal Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join a leading law firm in the City of London. The role is hybrid, with two days remote and three days in a modern office, and focuses on change and technology initiatives that have a significant business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements, conduct process mapping and options analysis.
• Engage with senior stakeholders, partners and technologists to translate business needs into clear, actionable specifications.
• Support change‑management projects, ensuring benefits realisation and commercial awareness.
• Produce process models, use‑cases and activity diagrams using Visio, Skore or similar tools.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver practical technology solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience within a law firm, legal IT department or professional services partnership.
• Demonstrated ability to liaise with senior executives and influence decision‑making.
• Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies (IIBA/BCS) and change‑management principles.
• Methodical, detail‑oriented and commercially aware with excellent communication skills.
