About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Assistant to join our onsite technology team in Acton. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their IT career who enjoys hands‑on technical support and wants exposure to a wide range of systems and business projects.
Key responsibilities
- Provide 1st line IT support for hardware, software and business applications.
- Manage and resolve service‑desk tickets within agreed SLAs, escalating complex issues when needed.
- Prepare, configure and ship IT equipment for new starters and internal moves.
- Maintain accurate asset records and technical documentation.
- Support bespoke business systems and assist with user testing activities.
- Assist with IT infrastructure rollouts and technology projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve service‑desk processes and user experience.
- Deliver responsive onsite support to warehouse teams, installing and maintaining desktops, laptops, tablets, monitors, printers, peripherals and cabling.
Required profile
- Previous experience in an IT Support, Service Desk or Helpdesk environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical users.
- Customer‑focused attitude and willingness to help colleagues.
- Ability to prioritise workload in a fast‑paced operational setting.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Proactive mindset with a desire to learn and develop technical expertise.
Required skills
- Support for Windows devices.
- Experience with printers and end‑user hardware.
- Installation and maintenance of desktops, laptops, tablets, monitors, peripherals and cabling.
- Asset management and technical documentation.
