Junior Designer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Designer to join the design team at Really Wild Clothing, a British luxury heritage brand. The role offers hands‑on experience developing seasonal collections from concept through to production, working closely with senior designers and external freelancers.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design team in creating seasonal collections, producing hand sketches and CAD designs that align with the brand aesthetic.
• Develop clear technical drawings, specifications and basic technical packs for garments.
• Assist with colour, fabric and trim selection, sourcing materials from suppliers that meet quality, cost and sustainability goals.
• Maintain and update technical packs, measurements and construction details, liaising with pattern cutters, sample makers and production teams during sampling and fittings.
• Participate in fit sessions, record comments and help revise designs to ensure commercial viability.
• Conduct trend, fabric and market research and keep organised records of suppliers, samples and references.
• Collaborate with the wider design, production and freelance teams, supporting cross‑functional communication and ad‑hoc design tasks for the Creative Director.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
• Some professional experience within the luxury or premium fashion industry.
• Strong sketching ability and proficiency in CAD design.
• Solid understanding of garment construction, pattern cutting and sampling processes.
• Attention to detail, organisational skills and a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset.
