Junior iOS Engineer

About the role

Join Trainline’s Mobile Team and help shape the travel companion that millions use daily. As a Junior iOS Engineer you will work in a cross‑functional squad, collaborating with iOS, Android, Web, Backend, Product and Engineering colleagues to deliver seamless, eco‑friendly travel experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver new iOS functionality and product features using Swift, SwiftUI and UIKit.
• Build and maintain reliable, scalable mobile experiences that enable customers to book and manage journeys.
• Continuously improve the iOS codebase by simplifying, modernising and enhancing maintainability.
• Own the full development lifecycle from coding to production, including deployment, monitoring and support.
• Identify and remove blockers, inefficiencies and unnecessary complexity within the squad.
• Coach, mentor and share knowledge with teammates to foster an inclusive environment.

Required profile

• Experience building iOS applications with Swift and modern development practices.
• Familiarity with SwiftUI and UIKit; exposure to Objective‑C in existing codebases is a plus.
• Strong focus on engineering quality, testing, code review and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to work in a cross‑functional product team.
