Junior IT Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Junior IT Technician to join the IT team at Fairmont St. Andrews. The role provides first‑line technical support and ensures the smooth operation of the hotel’s guest‑facing and back‑office systems in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support to hotel staff via a help‑desk ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with POS terminals, reservation software and other guest‑facing applications.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, printers, network equipment and Wi‑Fi infrastructure.
• Manage network access, security settings and apply routine updates and patches.
• Support payment processing, communication platforms and other hotel systems.
• Assist with staff onboarding, setting up workstations and configuring user accounts.
• Maintain an accurate IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Contribute to system implementations and infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• IT qualification or certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft) – preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy hospitality setting.
• Professional demeanor and commitment to excellent customer service.
