Junior Legal Secretary – Property Team

About the role

Birchrose Associates is representing a well‑established London law firm that is looking for a Junior Legal Secretary to join its busy Property team. The role offers full‑time, permanent employment with hybrid working, providing an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to develop a career in legal administration.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal secretarial support, including document production, file opening and closing, billing and general administration.
• Manage diaries, arrange meetings and travel, and handle client communications to ensure efficient service.
• Assist with property transactions, including post‑completion matters such as Stamp Duty Land Tax returns, Land Registry applications and completion payments.
• Handle Land Registry processes, respond to requisitions and use the Digital Registration Service.
• Prepare commercial and residential property searches and related documentation.
• Support financial processes by drafting invoices, monitoring work‑in‑progress and aiding debt‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of administrative experience in a law firm (essential).
• Experience supporting a Property or Real Estate team is desirable.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
