About the role

We are seeking a reliable Kitchen Porter to join the Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC kitchen team. In this behind‑the‑scenes role you will help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for service, supporting chefs and ensuring a smooth dining experience for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in all kitchen areas throughout the shift.
• Sweep, mop floors and manage waste and recycling responsibly.
• Assist with basic food preparation such as peeling and chopping vegetables.
• Receive, check and store food deliveries and kitchen supplies correctly.
• Support kitchen set‑up and close‑down procedures.
• Clean cooking equipment and work surfaces to hygiene standards.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health‑and‑safety guidelines at all times.
• Report any maintenance, hygiene or safety concerns promptly.
