Lead Auditor - Construction Background

About the role

ISOQAR is seeking a Lead Auditor with a construction background to join its audit team in Cambridge. You will work with a diverse client base, delivering independent, evidence‑based third‑party audits that assess the effectiveness of management systems across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and lead independent third‑party audits for clients in construction and related industries.
• Gather objective evidence, prepare impartial audit reports and present findings in opening and closing meetings.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication of audit outcomes.
• Participate in a structured 12‑week training programme leading to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor qualifications.
• Continuously develop knowledge of industry standards and evolving regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Hands‑on operational experience in construction or a related industry.
• Strong analytical thinking, clear written communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Professional, methodical approach with high integrity.
• Willingness to travel regionally and nationally, including occasional overnight stays.
• Full UK driving licence.
