About the role
Bath College is seeking a Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching for its Uniformed Public Services programmes. The role involves developing and delivering curriculum for FE, HE, T‑Levels and adult learning, supporting a diverse student body from entry level to Level 5.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver teaching sessions, ensuring compliance with awarding body requirements.
- Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans and learning materials.
- Monitor and record formative and summative assessments and communicate examination arrangements.
- Contribute to the development of new programmes and continuous improvement of existing courses.
- Support personal development curriculum, enrichment activities and tutor support.
Required profile
- Relevant qualifications or career experience in a Uniformed Protective Service (e.g., Police, Ambulance Service).
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification.
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at grade C or above.
- Demonstrated e‑literacy and competence with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams.
- Understanding of quality‑assurance requirements of awarding bodies and the College.
- Proven record of delivering good to outstanding learning experiences.

What we offer
- Permanent contract, 37 hours per week.
- Salary range £30,348 – £40,016 per year.
- Generous paid holiday entitlement of 40 days plus college closure days and public holidays.
