Legal Counsel (Commercial & Data Privacy)

About the role

We’re looking for an exceptional lawyer to join Omnea’s growing Legal team and take real ownership across commercial, corporate and compliance work as the company scales rapidly.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements such as MSAs, SLAs and DPAs with enterprise clients.
• Partner with sales, customer success, product, engineering and security teams to remove legal roadblocks and support fast deal closure.
• Manage high‑volume enterprise contract workflows, triaging negotiations and prioritising deals.
• Develop playbooks and fallback positions for common negotiation scenarios to accelerate deal cycles.
• Provide legal and compliance advice on new product features, data handling, AI capabilities and user privacy.
• Conduct legal reviews of product releases to ensure alignment with data‑privacy regulations and contractual commitments.
• Support corporate projects including fundraising, international expansion and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with training from a top law firm and a minimum of 3 years’ post‑qualification experience.
• Proven track record negotiating and closing complex, high‑volume SaaS agreements with enterprise customers.
• Strong expertise in data‑privacy and international compliance frameworks such as GDPR, SCCs and DPAs.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast‑moving environment, managing competing priorities at scale.
• Interest in AI, legal tech and contract automation, with a willingness to drive adoption and experimentation.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex legal issues to leadership and customers.
