Legal Counsel (Commercial Lawyer)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Commercial Lawyer to join our fast‑growing civil nuclear business. The role involves drafting, negotiating and managing a wide range of commercial agreements that support our design, engineering and supply‑chain activities.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and prepare supply‑chain agreements, including design and engineering services, future supply contracts, licensing and confidentiality agreements.
• Provide legal counsel to internal stakeholders, identify and mitigate legal risk, and ensure compliance with governance frameworks and regulations.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain, procurement, commercial, finance and engineering teams to align contractual terms with business objectives.
• Draft legal documents, policies, templates, NDAs and data addendums; prepare closing documentation and conduct document review.
• Review contracts, summarise key clauses, assess legal risks and produce research reports, presentations and spreadsheets.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with the right to work and practice in the UK.
• Strong academic credentials and post‑qualification experience in commercial law.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills across a broad range of agreements.
• Pragmatic commercial understanding and outstanding interpersonal abilities.
