Legal Counsel – In‑house Tech Law Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join a fast‑scaling technology company in the United Kingdom. The role blends strategic advisory work with hands‑on execution, supporting multiple departments while navigating complex, multi‑jurisdictional legal challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical, business‑focused legal support to commercial, sales, HR, finance, privacy and compliance teams.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, ensuring balanced risk allocation.
• Maintain and improve contract templates and contract‑management processes.
• Assist sales and finance in negotiations, risk assessments and debt‑recovery activities.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into internal policies.
• Contribute to corporate governance, internal policy creation and compliance frameworks.
• Design and deliver legal training, guidance materials and workshops.

Required profile

• Law degree with at least 3 + years of in‑house experience, preferably in a tech or digital environment.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to give solution‑oriented advice.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex regulations.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong ownership and independent multitasking.
• Fluent English; experience with international or U.S. legal frameworks is a plus.

Required skills

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts in English.
• Understanding of compliance, privacy and international regulatory frameworks.
