Legal Counsel – Privacy & Compliance

About the role

We are looking for Ravio’s first dedicated Legal Counsel to lead privacy and compliance for our fast‑growing compensation platform. You will own core legal documentation, advise senior leadership, and support audit and compliance projects.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and maintain customer contracts, service agreements, DPAs and custom data terms.
• Oversee corporate actions including shareholder matters, board documentation and M&A deals.
• Ensure privacy policies, DPIAs and ROPA stay current with product changes and data flows.
• Coordinate SOC 2 (and ISO) certification cycles and manage day‑to‑day Vanta administration.
• Act as the primary contact for external legal counsel and manage the whistleblowing framework.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) or equivalent with several years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK/EU data protection and privacy law (UK GDPR, DPA 2018) applied to B2B SaaS.
• Proven ability to draft and negotiate commercial contracts and privacy notices with minimal oversight.
• Comfortable managing external counsel relationships and translating legal risk for non‑legal teams.
• Willingness to be the sole in‑house legal hire initially and build processes from scratch.
