Legal Counsel – UK Employment Law

About the role

We are looking for an experienced employment lawyer to join our legal team in a hybrid capacity, based in either London or Manchester. You will work closely with HR and business leaders, providing practical advice that influences real business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with HR and business stakeholders to deliver clear advice on UK employment law matters across the employee lifecycle.
• Handle complex employee‑relations issues including redundancy, TUPE, disciplinary and grievance matters, restrictive covenants and Employment Tribunal claims.
• Collaborate with external counsel when required and support policy development and training initiatives.
• Help embed best practice across the organisation and gain exposure to wider EMEA legal matters.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales (or equivalent) with at least 4 years post‑qualification experience in employment law.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience advising on complex employee‑relations cases.
• Proven ability to support redundancy programmes, TUPE and organisational change.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities independently while working collaboratively.
