Logistics Assistant – Freight & Distribution

About the role

Join the Freight and Distribution team at Formula 1 as a Logistics Assistant. You will support the planning, coordination and execution of transport and logistics operations, ensuring the timely and compliant movement of goods and equipment across domestic and international routes.

Key responsibilities

• Drive company vans for scheduled and ad‑hoc deliveries and collections.
• Assist in planning transport and freight movements, including route planning.
• Coordinate ad‑hoc transport bookings and movements as required.
• Monitor and schedule vehicle and plant maintenance to maintain operational readiness.
• Ensure vehicle compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, order fuel and manage toll payments.
• Maintain and organise storage facilities, assist with container refurbishment, cleaning and repairs.
• Position containers for loading/unloading and support loading of stillages, pallets and general freight.
• Operate forklifts in compliance with health & safety regulations and report any damages.
• Occasional travel and flexible working hours to support operational demands.

Required profile

• Flexible and adaptable with a process‑driven, detail‑oriented approach.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to take on additional tasks as directed.
• Current UK driving licence (required).
• Desirable: HGV licence, forklift certification/competency and prior experience in transport planning or logistics coordination.
