Logistics Specialist

About the role

Our client, an international travel and transport organisation, is seeking a bilingual French‑English Logistics Specialist to join their London operations team. Working 35 hours per week on a rotating schedule, you will coordinate daily logistics activities, support frontline crews, and help maintain smooth service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily communications with operational teams on stock levels, equipment issues and service requests.
• Respond to queries from frontline crews and provide timely operational support.
• Monitor train services and identify potential operational disruptions.
• Input and maintain operational data, including crew feedback, product shortages, recycling and wastage.
• Manage fresh‑food orders and validate premium service orders.
• Liaise with the Logistics Manager, Team Leads and wider operational teams to ensure effective communication of service updates.
• Work closely with colleagues to continuously improve operational processes and service delivery.
• Monitor external events, implement contingency plans and support special events or charter services.
• Track logistics performance data and take corrective action to meet KPI targets.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French; Dutch is a plus.
• Previous experience in logistics, operations, supply chain or a fast‑paced customer‑service environment.
• Strong IT confidence when using operational systems and handling data.
• Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends on a rota basis.
• Proactive, organised and able to perform well under pressure.

• Salary range £32,000‑£35,000 per year plus a £2,000 meal allowance.
