Maintenance Technician

About the role

Dematic is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support resident site contracts by servicing AMHE equipment and ensuring reliable operation of conveyor and automation systems. The role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC and PC faults while adhering to health, safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out AMHE equipment servicing according to manuals and schedules.
• Perform scheduled repairs following manufacturer recommendations.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, electronic, PLC and PC faults.
• Prioritise system faults and record all work accurately.
• Maintain product flow and ensure on‑site spares are stocked.
• Comply with health & safety legislation and company quality processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement and identify sales opportunities.
• Represent Demetric professionally and maintain customer relations.

Required profile

• ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (electrical preferred).
• Recognised engineering apprenticeship (preferred).
• Experience with conveyor systems and working at height.
• Understanding of pre‑preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• PC literacy and ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
