Media Litigation Solicitor – London (6+ PQE)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Media Litigation Solicitor to join our London team. The role involves advising high‑net‑worth individuals, family offices, corporates and charities on complex reputation‑management and media‑law matters.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on defamation, privacy, confidentiality, harassment, data protection and related disputes.
• Draft and negotiate settlements, injunctions and other court documents.
• Manage cases from pre‑action strategy through litigation, arbitration or alternative dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with specialist practice groups to deliver commercially focused solutions.
• Support business development and mentor junior lawyers.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 6 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong litigation background, preferably with exposure to media or reputation‑management work.
• Excellent drafting, communication and commercial awareness.
• Resilience and emotional intelligence to handle high‑pressure, sensitive client situations.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UK defamation, privacy and data‑protection law.
• Experience with emergency injunctions and regulatory complaints.
• Ability to advise on media crisis response and reputation‑management strategies.
