Microsoft Viva Architect

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Viva Architect to lead the design, architecture and implementation of enterprise‑wide employee experience and workforce insights solutions for a leading banking technology provider. You will translate business and functional requirements into secure, scalable, future‑ready platforms that align with organisational objectives and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver end‑to‑end Microsoft Viva solutions (Insights, Engage, Learning, Connections, Goals) across the enterprise.
• Integrate Viva with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Azure and Microsoft Graph.
• Collaborate with HR, data, security, enterprise architects and implementation partners to define solution architecture.
• Ensure compliance with technology standards, governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Enterprise or Solution Architecture, preferably with Microsoft technologies.
• 5+ years designing and delivering Microsoft 365 solutions at scale.
• Proven track record architecting employee experience, collaboration or workforce analytics platforms.
• Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks, governance and technology strategy.

What we offer

• Day rate of £500 (IR35 compliant) via Hays Approved Umbrella Company.
• Fixed‑term contract until 31/03/2027.
• Hybrid work model – 2 to 3 days onsite per week in London.
