About the role
Freightserve is seeking a Multi‑Modal Freight Operator to manage end‑to‑end import and export operations for a busy freight forwarder in Staines‑upon‑Thames. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Friday 9:00‑17:30.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate multimodal imports and exports, meeting strict deadlines and handling collections, transport bookings and liaison with overseas agents and customers.
- Manage import air and road freight bookings, process related documentation and submit customs entries.
- Prepare quotations, pricing and invoices for clients.
- Build and maintain close relationships with customers and overseas agents.
- Handle multiple shipments simultaneously while communicating efficiently via email and telephone.
Required profile
- Experience with air and road freight imports and customs entry processing.
- Strong customer service skills with an excellent telephone manner.
- Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to work systematically.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office suite.
