Multiskilled Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a talented Multiskilled Maintenance Technician to join our Manufacturing Maintenance Department in Huddersfield. This permanent, on‑site position works 35 hours per week with flexible shift patterns, offering the chance to keep critical production equipment running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, emergency and predictive maintenance on a range of manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, reducing downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Use diagrams, manuals and technical specifications to carry out high‑standard maintenance work.
• Support equipment failure analysis and provide feedback to enhance preventive maintenance plans.
• Identify hazards, follow safe systems of work and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Guide less‑experienced team members, acting as a technical resource and sharing knowledge.
• Collaborate with peers and support teams to resolve constraints, improve processes and optimise material flow.
• Participate in local TPM initiatives to boost quality, safety, workflow and team capability.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving ability with experience diagnosing electrical and mechanical systems.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross‑functional teamwork.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality standards and continuous learning.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with a mechatronic or electrically‑biased background.
• Significant hands‑on maintenance experience in manufacturing or similar settings.
