Multi‑Trader – Maintenance & Repairs for Social Housing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Multi‑Trader to join a well‑established maintenance team delivering reactive and planned repairs across occupied social housing in East London and parts of Essex. The role is field‑based, offering a varied workload and the chance to work independently while providing a high standard of service to residents.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out general carpentry repairs such as doors, locks, skirting and kitchen fittings.
• Perform basic plumbing tasks including taps, toilets, sinks and minor pipework.
• Patch plastering, make good work and undertake simple tiling repairs or replacements.
• Execute painting and decorating touch‑ups and general maintenance duties.
• Diagnose faults, complete repairs safely and within agreed timescales.
• Use a PDA or job‑management system to record and update work progress.
• Maintain excellent customer service while working in residents’ homes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Multi‑Trader in social housing or similar maintenance environments.
• Full UK manual driving licence (no more than 3 points).
• Ability to work independently, manage own workload and prioritise tasks.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and attention to detail.
• Professional, customer‑focused approach.

What we offer

• Salary £38,000‑£40,000 per annum.
