Music Teacher – Secondary School (Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a well‑regarded secondary school in North London from September 2026. The role involves delivering engaging music lessons that inspire students to develop their musical abilities and confidence within a supportive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a full curriculum of music lessons for secondary pupils.
• Foster students’ musical skills, creativity and appreciation across a range of instruments and vocal activities.
• Assess progress and provide constructive feedback to support individual development.
• Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management to ensure a safe, inclusive atmosphere.
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross‑curricular projects and school events.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
• Proven experience teaching music at secondary level.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management capabilities.
• Commitment to supporting learners of all abilities.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check.

Required skills

• Music theory instruction.
• Instrumental and vocal teaching.
• Choir directing and ensemble leadership.
• Use of music technology and digital audio tools.
