Network Engineer – Design, Security & Multi‑Site Modernisation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer (CCNP level) to own the design, security, performance and evolution of our UK network infrastructure across clinical and corporate sites.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and support enterprise LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, wireless and firewall solutions.
• Manage network segmentation, firewall architecture and rule sets.
• Lead network upgrade programmes and modernisation across multiple locations.
• Establish and maintain network standards for current and future sites.
• Implement and monitor network security controls, support Cyber Essentials, DSPT and Zero Trust initiatives.
• Review vulnerability and penetration‑test findings and drive remediation.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for complex infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with Azure AD, endpoint management and connectivity services to ensure high availability and performance.

Required profile

• Degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent commercial experience.
• Solid experience in network and infrastructure engineering, preferably in multi‑site or enterprise environments.
• Hands‑on experience managing firewalls and secure VPN connectivity.
• Knowledge of EMR/EPR integrations and healthcare‑related network requirements is desirable.
• Understanding of Cyber Essentials, DSPT and Zero Trust security principles.
• Experience with cloud networking in Azure and/or AWS is a plus.
