Night Shift Prep Technician – Vehicle Preparation

About the role

The Night Shift Prep Technician ensures every vehicle leaving our Wakefield showroom meets the highest quality standards. Working Monday to Thursday nights, you will prepare cars for delivery, performing inspections and minor adjustments to guarantee customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles before customer hand‑over.
• Perform necessary minor repairs, adjustments, and detailing to meet quality benchmarks.
• Complete all preparation tasks efficiently within the night‑shift schedule.
• Collaborate closely with the daytime team to maintain a seamless workflow.
• Document work performed and report any issues to senior staff.

Required profile

• Proficiency in vehicle preparation, inspection, and minor repair tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced night‑shift environment.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Previous experience in a similar automotive role is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and mechanical systems.
• Flexibility and reliability for night‑shift schedules.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
