Non-Financial Risk & Control Manager (12‑month Fixed Term)

About the role

We are seeking a Non-Financial Risk & Control Manager to join our Risk team on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. Reporting to the Head of Non-Financial Risk, you will lead the oversight of operational risk, resilience and control activities across SCUK.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Non‑Financial Risk team on a daily basis, including planning and performance monitoring.
• Own and track the risk appetite for non‑financial risks and ensure alignment with group frameworks.
• Prepare and present non‑financial risk initiatives and monthly management information to relevant committees.
• Approve Operational Risk Assessments for change‑management projects and Risk Acceptance requests within delegated authority.
• Support incident investigations, crisis management events and the Risk & Control Self‑Assessment programme.
• Oversee operational risk and resilience aspects of joint‑venture activities.

Required profile

• Relevant industry qualification and at least 3 years of experience in a risk and control environment.
• Strong knowledge of SCUK policies, processes and risk‑related management tools.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across Santander UK, Santander Consumer Finance Division (Madrid) and internal departments.
