Nursery Chef – Full‑time role in Hillingdon

About the role

Join the Nestles Avenue Nursery and Pre‑School team as a full‑time Nursery Chef. You will work in a friendly kitchen environment, preparing nutritious meals for children aged 0‑5 and supporting healthy eating habits.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements and allergy guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen in line with Food Hygiene Level 2 standards.
• Collaborate with nursery staff to organise food‑related activities and cooking sessions for children.
• Manage kitchen supplies, ordering, and stock levels.
• Participate in the LEYF Chef Academy and share best practices across the network.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in the UK.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with young children.
• Willingness to complete Food Hygiene Level 2 training (paid by LEYF) if not already certified.

Required skills

• Food Hygiene Level 2 (or ability to obtain it within the first week).
