Nursery Room Leader – Early Years Professional

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Early Years professional to lead a nursery room in Gloucester. As the Nursery Room Leader you will ensure a safe, inspiring environment where children thrive and staff feel supported.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day‑to‑day running of the allocated room, maintaining the highest standards of care, learning and development.
• Lead by example, providing mentorship and support to colleagues.
• Create a nurturing atmosphere where children feel happy, safe and motivated to reach their full potential.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Experience working within an Early Years setting and strong knowledge of child development and the EYFS.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
