Nursing Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Nursing Assistant to work under the direction of a registered practitioner, delivering high‑quality care to patients in clinic settings and in their own homes. You will support the nursing team by maintaining clinical competencies and ensuring safe, timely patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in accordance with the Band 2/3 Clinical Skills Matrix.
• Maintain up‑to‑date clinical competencies and complete mandatory training.
• Assist registered nurses with planning, prioritising and delivering care tasks.
• Act as a role model and mentor for trainee and Band 2 Nursing Assistants.
• Document care accurately at point of delivery and escalate issues when required.
• Work independently in clinics and patient homes while following standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or working towards) in Health and Social Care.
• Ability to recognise personal limitations and work within the defined scope of practice.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and training needs identification.
• Strong organisational skills to prioritise workload and manage delegated tasks.

Required skills

• Clinical competencies aligned with Band 2/3 standards.
• Proficiency in completing patient documentation accurately.
