Paralegal – Legal Operations (Fixed-Term)

About the role

We are seeking a mission‑driven, highly‑motivated Paralegal to join Sylvera’s Legal function in London. The role is a six‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position, reporting directly to the Head of Legal.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Sales team by drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and NDAs using our playbooks, escalating issues when needed.
• Maintain and improve internal contract templates and playbooks, leveraging AI tools to accelerate routine work.
• Assist business units with customer procurement, vendor contracting and security reviews (e.g., ISO 27001 alignment).
• Handle corporate matters such as entity incorporation, filings and regulatory compliance.
• Provide legal support for data licensing, GDPR queries, DPA reviews and employment matters.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of in‑house paralegal experience, preferably in a fast‑moving B2B SaaS or technology environment.
• Strong contractual judgement, meticulous drafting ability and excellent attention to detail.
• Highly organised, process‑driven and capable of maintaining trackers and filing systems.
• Clear communicator who can liaise with sales, customers and external counsel.
• Passion for climate impact and ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving startup.
