Paralegal – Residential Property (London)

About the role

We are looking for a capable and organised Paralegal to support a Residential Property Partner in London. The role covers a varied caseload of freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity, providing end‑to‑end conveyancing support within a busy, client‑focused practice.

Key responsibilities

• Open new matters, manage files and ensure compliance with SRA and GDPR regulations.
• Book appointments, arrange meetings and coordinate diaries for the property team.
• Liaise with estate agents, solicitors, lenders and clients throughout the transaction process.
• Maintain electronic and manual filing systems, handling file opening, closing and retrieval.
• Communicate with clients in person and by phone, providing updates and advice.
• Prepare and draft contracts, leases, completion statements, land registry applications and title searches.
• Perform audio and copy typing of legal documents using digital dictation tools when required.

Required profile

• Previous legal experience within a law firm, specifically in residential conveyancing.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client‑care focus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using a case management system.
• Good typing and numeracy skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work independently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
