Part Qualified Accountant – Hybrid Finance Role

About the role

We are seeking a part‑qualified accountant to join a high‑performing finance team in Manchester city centre. The role offers hybrid working and provides a solid platform to develop technical expertise while supporting entities across Europe and the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end close under UK GAAP, including journal preparation and posting.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Produce fee reconciliations and manage intercompany accounting, invoicing and settlements.
• Assist with local statutory accounts, audits and compliance obligations.
• Prepare monthly data packs for external accountants and compare local GAAP with management accounts.
• Support VAT and other fiscal returns, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
• Liaise with Accounts Payable, Billing, Treasury, Tax teams and external advisors.
• Contribute to financial statements, ad‑hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACCA or CIMA candidate actively studying.
• 3–5 years of UK‑based accounting or finance experience.
• Proven experience with month‑end, balance‑sheet reconciliations and statutory reporting.
• Exposure to VAT preparation and submission.
• Experience in an international or multi‑entity environment, including FX exposure.
• Strong organisational skills, deadline‑driven and detail‑focused.
• Full right to work in the UK.
