Part-Qualified Auditor – Charity & Not-for-Profit

About the role

TPF Recruitment is supporting a leading accountancy practice in their search for a part‑qualified auditor focused on the charity and not‑for‑profit sector. This role offers a motivated professional the chance to develop audit experience while working with organisations that deliver real social impact.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, execution and completion of audit assignments for charity and not‑for‑profit clients.
• Prepare audit working papers and support fieldwork, including testing of controls and substantive procedures.
• Help prepare financial statements and year‑end accounts in line with accounting standards and charity regulations.
• Liaise with clients to gather information, resolve queries and maintain strong relationships.
• Collaborate with senior auditors and contribute to accurate, timely delivery across a varied portfolio.

Required profile

• Fully AAT qualified or part‑qualified ACA/ACCA.
• Strong interest in audit within the charity and not‑for‑profit sector.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Analytical, problem‑solving mindset with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• AAT qualification.
• ACA or ACCA studies (part‑qualified acceptable).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Knowledge of charity accounting frameworks such as SORP.
