Financial Data Analyst

About the role

Standard Bank Offshore is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to implement data and information management standards, support business understanding of data processes, and drive data governance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Implement data quality, lifecycle management, metadata, and privacy standards in line with governance frameworks.
• Support business units in understanding data collection, storage, usage, and deletion, improving adoption of information management.
• Execute data governance programme plans, report and manage data‑related information risk, and drive awareness of compliance issues.
• Educate stakeholders on data management, quality, and sources, and implement business and data quality rules.

Required profile

• First degree in Engineering Sciences or Information Technology.
• 3‑4 years experience with data structures, repositories, lifecycle management, and data governance.
• Understanding of data warehousing, metadata management, data analysis, validation, and information risk.
• Knowledge of banking regulatory standards and data security is advantageous.
