Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 1

About the role

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part‑Time Assistant Manager – Level 1 you’ll support the store leadership team, train new recruits and help meet sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide an amazing shopping experience that showcases product knowledge and customer‑service skills.
• Step in on the sales floor and offer leadership support when the manager is unavailable.
• Open and close the store, handling register duties, sales transactions and BOPIS/curbside pickup.
• Understand store sales plan, comp sales goals and key KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram changes, merchandising mix and store layout.
• Communicate fashion and music trend information to management and HQ partners.
• Help maintain an organized stock room and tidy store environment.
• Support team development and retention to run the store collaboratively.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of retail store experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Passion for music, pop culture and a desire to deliver great customer experiences.
