Part-Time SENCO – Early Years Setting (3 days/week)

About the role
This part‑time SENCO position supports a well‑established maintained nursery in Hammersmith & Fulham. Working three days a week, you will provide maternity cover from September 2026 to July 2027, ensuring continuity of SEND provision for young children.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage SEND provision across the early years setting.
- Liaise with parents, external agencies and staff to coordinate support plans.
- Monitor and review individual child progress against SEND targets.
- Deliver training and guidance to staff on inclusive practice and legislation.
- Maintain accurate records and produce statutory reports.
Required profile
- Holds the NASENCO qualification or has substantial SENCO experience in a school or early years setting.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice.
- Experience working within early years environments.
- Organised, proactive and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEND legislation and policy.
- Experience coordinating multi‑agency support for young children.
- Ability to develop and deliver staff training on inclusive practice.
