Part‑Qualified Accountant – Hybrid, Manchester

About the role

This is a hybrid, full‑time position within a high‑performing finance team of a global professional services organisation. The role is designed for a part‑qualified ACCA or CIMA candidate who wants to deepen technical expertise while supporting entities across Europe and the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end close under GAAP, including journal preparation and posting.
• Prepare and review balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Produce fee reconciliations and assist with inter‑company accounting, invoicing and settlements.
• Assist in the preparation of local statutory accounts, audits and compliance obligations.
• Prepare monthly data packs for external accountants and review local GAAP versus management accounts.
• Support VAT and other fiscal returns, ensuring accurate and timely submission.
• Liaise with Accounts Payable, Billing, Treasury, Tax teams and external advisors.
• Contribute to financial statements, ad‑hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified ACCA or CIMA, actively studying and progressing.
• 3–5 years of UK‑based accounting or finance experience.
• Proven experience supporting month‑end, balance‑sheet reconciliations and statutory reporting.
• Exposure to VAT preparation and submission.
• Experience in an international or multi‑entity environment, including FX exposure.
• Highly organised, deadline‑driven and detail‑focused.
• Full right to work in the UK.
