Platform Engineer – OpenShift (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to provide back‑fill support for our enterprise OpenShift platform. The role is contract‑based (6 months with a likelihood of extension) and operates within a highly regulated financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support Red Hat OpenShift clusters on x86 infrastructure.
• Provide day‑to‑day operational support, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement and enhance automation for provisioning, scaling, patching and incident response.
• Maintain platform reliability, observability and resilience using SRE principles.
• Participate in incident, problem and change management in line with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience with OpenShift on x86‑based infrastructure.
• Strong incident management, root‑cause analysis and recovery skills.
• Experience working with VMware vSphere or similar virtualised environments.
• Background in financial services or other regulated sectors.
