PR Assistant – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking a creative and proactive PR Assistant to support our external communication activities and raise the firm’s profile through media relations, content creation and social media. Working within the Marketing & Business Development team, you will contribute to strategic campaigns in a fast‑paced professional services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the firm’s PR strategy and business development campaigns.
• Draft press releases, media briefings and other communications materials.
• Identify news opportunities and generate engaging story ideas.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists and support media outreach activities.
• Monitor and report on media coverage.
• Assist with website updates, social media activity and podcast promotion.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm on PR and communications projects.

Required profile

• 2–3 years’ experience in PR, communications or a related role.
• Strong writing and communication skills with a creative flair.
• Confidence in building relationships with stakeholders and media contacts.
• Excellent organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proactive approach and ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of social media and digital content creation.
• Professional services experience or PR qualifications advantageous.
