Principal Product Specialist – Unified Supply Chain Schedule

About the role

AVEVA is looking for a Principal Product Specialist to join the Unified Supply Chain (USC) Schedule R&D team in Cambridge. This hands‑on position focuses on oil & gas supply‑chain expertise, working closely with customers to shape the next generation of scheduling software.

Key responsibilities

• Represent customer challenges and embed domain expertise into R&D using the jobs‑to‑be‑done framework.
• Maintain deep knowledge of customer workflows, needs and improvement opportunities.
• Participate in user‑group meetings, industry forums and showcase product direction.
• Support product design workshops, capture requirements, prototype user workflows and influence the scheduling roadmap.
• Lead discovery sessions, deliver demos, and assist with onboarding, RFIs/RFPs and sales support.
• Collaborate across product, sales, pre‑sales, project and management teams to ensure alignment.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in oil & gas supply‑chain processes and scheduling.
• Proven ability to work directly with customers, primarily online, with occasional travel (4‑8 trips per year).
• Strong collaborative mindset and passion for translating technology into real‑world solutions.
• Understanding of operational software implementation, adoption patterns and competitive landscape.

Required skills

• Deep domain knowledge of oil & gas supply‑chain scheduling.
• Familiarity with AVEVA CONNECT platform and related services.
