Private Client Tax Manager – Mid‑tier Accountancy Firm

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join a well‑established mid‑tier accountancy firm in Maidstone. You will lead the delivery of tax services for a portfolio of around 200 private clients, providing expert advice and ensuring full compliance with UK tax legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the delivery of tax services to private clients.
• Take ownership of a portfolio of circa 200 clients, providing expert tax advice.
• Ensure compliance with current tax regulations and monitor legislative changes.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through excellent customer service.
• Contribute to the development of tax strategy and internal policies.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
• Participate in business development activities to expand the client base.
• Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Required profile

• CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Proven experience in tax management within a professional services setting.
• Strong knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities.
• Strategic mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
