Product Design Engineer (NPD)

About the role

SharkNinja’s Beauty team is looking for a Product Design Engineer (NPD) to help create the next generation of innovative beauty products. Based in the Battersea office, you will work at the intersection of engineering, creativity, and consumer experience, turning ideas into market‑ready products that enhance daily routines worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Transform ambitious product concepts into manufacturable solutions.
• Lead design studies to address technical and consumer challenges.
• Develop CAD models, build prototypes, conduct testing and verification.
• Iterate designs to improve performance, quality, cost and user experience.
• Apply engineering fundamentals to create robust, reliable products.
• Use knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to optimise high‑volume production.
• Build and test prototypes in the lab, solving hands‑on problems.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the UK, US and China to bring products to market.

Required profile

• Degree in Product Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design or a related discipline.
• 1–3+ years of experience in product design, mechanical engineering or industrial design.
• Curiosity and passion for turning ideas into real‑world products.
• Enthusiasm for beauty tech, consumer products or household appliances.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Experience in prototyping and testing physical products.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for high‑volume production.
