About the role
A leading global engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced Production Manager for its Eastleigh/Southampton site. Reporting directly to the Director of Production, this newly created position focuses on production planning, capacity management and team performance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead production planning and capacity management across the shop floor.
- Manage labour resources, budgets and production schedules to meet project targets.
- Coach and develop a Production Team Leader and a team of 10‑20 skilled employees.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering and Procurement departments.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of production management experience.
- Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
- Background in manufacturing (any industry).
- Proven experience with production planning, capacity management and budgeting.

- Salary up to £60,000 per year plus a 5% performance bonus.
