Production Operative – Manufacturing Role in Welham Green

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing team in Welham Green. This six‑month contract offers the chance to develop production skills and potentially move into a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare products for dispatch and carry out final production duties.
• Reel, palletise, cut materials and perform pick‑and‑pack tasks as required.
• Check picking lists, print labels accurately and verify stock, part numbers and lot numbers.
• Use the ERP system to manage inventory and record stock movements.
• Maintain accurate records, ensure quality standards are met and support different production areas.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives across the department.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Competent IT skills with experience using inventory or ERP systems.
• Ability to read picking lists, stock records and engineering documentation.
• Experience of working within a Quality Management System, preferably ISO 9001:2015.
