Production Operator – Switchgear (Manufacturing)

About the role

Vertiv is seeking Production Operators for its Switchgear and Sheet Metal departments at the Campsie site in Derry/Londonderry. You will join a skilled production team, contributing to the assembly of high‑quality engineered power solutions in a fast‑paced engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out assembly and general production duties following written and verbal instructions.
• Operate production equipment and machinery as required.
• Maintain quality, productivity, and safety standards on the shop floor.
• Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and engineering teams to meet production deadlines.
• Ensure full compliance with health & safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and operating procedures.
• Strong attention to detail with a quality‑focused mindset.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliability, safety‑conscious attitude, and flexibility to work rotational shift patterns (morning, afternoon, night).

Required skills

• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with electromechanical systems.
• Operation of production equipment and machinery.
