Programme Lead – Computing & Engineering

About the role

The Programme Lead provides academic leadership for the Computing & Engineering programmes, ensuring coherent delivery, high quality, and continuous improvement while supporting strong student engagement and progression.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day academic leadership for the Computing & Engineering programmes, coordinating curriculum, assessment and student progression.
• Lead and support teaching staff, manage staffing, performance reviews and professional development.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate modules, ensuring alignment with partner university standards and meeting quality and progression targets.
• Monitor student attendance, engagement and academic performance, implementing interventions as needed.
• Build relationships with partner university contacts and internal academic affairs teams, acting as an academic ambassador.

Required profile

• Degree in Computing and Engineering (or related) with right to work in the UK.
• Experience of teaching and academic leadership in higher education or foundation/pathway provision.
• Knowledge of academic standards, assessment, quality assurance and data‑driven improvement.
• Ability to support diverse student cohorts and contribute to curriculum development.

Required skills

• Strong subject knowledge in Computing and Engineering at foundation/undergraduate level.
• Ability to analyse student performance data and drive academic improvement.
